PRIMARY CHILDHOOD IMMUNISATION PROGRAMME
The national childhood immunisation scheme changed for all children born on or after July1, 2008. New vaccinations were added to the scheme at this point. All children born on or after July 1, 2008 will receive the new schedule of immunisation. The old schedule will continue to apply to children born before July 1, 2008. There is a PCV catch-up scheme for this cohort. Refer to the HSE National Immunisation Programme website at www.immunisation.ie

Birth: BCG
2 months: 6-in-1 & PCV
4 months: 6-in-1 & Men C
6 months: 6-in-1, PCV & Men C
12 months: MMR & PCV
13 months: Men C & HIB
Old Schedule – Children born before July 1, 2008
Birth: BCG
2 months: 5-in-1 & Men C
4 months: 5-in-1 & Men C
6 months: 5-in-1 & Men C
12 months: MMR & HIB
